Pyrography is Greek for "fire drawing," and is also known as woodburning, although many different things can be pyrographed, including wood, gourds, leather, and paper. This has become my favorite medium as of late, for it somehow flows from the deepest part of me. As I use my burners, the smoke it creates reminds me of campfires, and the often bumpy grain of the wood directs the pen and tells its own story. I only burn unfinished pieces, so if you have something specific in mind, simply let me know and I'll help you find it either at a local or online store, or perhaps have my partner build it! I am happy to burn and stain your piece, or add paint to bring a whole new dimension to it. Items can also be personalized with family names or favorite quotes.
